The musical “DIAGHILEV” will return for a third run.

On January 27, SHOWPLAY announced: “The musical “DIAGHILEV” will run from March 31 to June 14 at Yes24 Art One Hall 1.” Alongside this, main posters and character posters were released on official social media, marking the show’s official return.
“DIAGHILEV” is part of a three-part musical project by SHOWPLAY dedicated to artistic figures, tracing the lives of artists active in Western Europe in the early 1900s.
This new production tells the story from the perspective of DIAGHILEV, the “godfather of Russian arts” who discovered NIJINSKI and STRAVINSKY and founded the Ballets Russes. The show explores the creation of the Ballets Russes, the backstage of lavish performances, as well as DIAGHILEV’s artistic world, achievements, and romantic pursuits.
To portray DIAGHILEV, the immortal producer and founder of modern ballet, actors KIM JONGGU, JO SEONGYUN, and AN JAEYOUNG, who appeared in the first and second runs, will return to the stage. This season, PARK KYU WON will also join the role, adding emotional depth and enriching audience immersion, offering four distinct styles of leadership and charisma.

DIAGHILEV’s faithful partner and iconic Ballets Russes chief designer, BENOIT, will again be portrayed by PARK SANGJUN, who captivated audiences during the second run. KIM JAEHAN, who played STRAVINSKY in the second run, will take on BENOIT this time, revealing a new facet of the character. KIM SUHO, known for his impressive voice and authenticity despite being a newcomer, will also join the role of BENOIT.
The role of the ballet prodigy nicknamed the “god of dance,” NIJINSKI, will be performed by JUNG MINCHAN, who appeared in the first run of “DIAGHILEV” and in the musical “NIJINSKI”. They will be joined by KIM TAEYEON, revealed through “Stage Fighter” on Mnet, and PARK JUNHYUNG, the first Billy in the musical “Billy Elliot” and noted for his performance in “NIJINSKI”, to beautifully capture NIJINSKI’s shining moments through graceful movements.
The composer, nicknamed the “tsar” of modern music, STRAVINSKY, will again be played by KIM DOHA and PARK SEONYEONG, who held the roles in “NIJINSKI” and “DIAGHILEV”, while SHIN SUBIN will join the cast to offer a new interpretation.
Meanwhile, ticket sales for “DIAGHILEV” will open on February 2 at 2 p.m. via NOL Tickets and Yes24 Tickets. The discounted pre-sale period will run from March 31 to April 5, with R seats priced at 50,000 won and S seats at 35,000 won.
