Released just a few hours ago, BOBBY surprises us with this collab, which is being promoted rather quietly.
‘X’ isn’t the first collaboration between rapper EL Rune and KIKIRI, a composer and music arranger. Nine months earlier, the two artists called on Hannah Jang, a former contestant on K-Pop Star 3 who appeared on Mix & Match in 2015, to perform a cover of “Let’s get started” with BOBBY, Junhoe and Chanwoo.
Blending rap and pop, the song aims to be modern and upbeat. The chorus is simple and easily sticks in your head. BOBBY presence provides a contrast to EL Rune voice and therefore to the song itself. It slightly transforms the flow of the song, which seems to accelerate with BOBBY delivery.
