JANNABI - CHOI JUNGHOON
An individual who left malicious comments, harassed, and posted sexually humiliating messages targeting CHOI JUNGHOON, leader of JANNABI, has been fined 5 million won (approximately 3,000 euros), according to the singer’s agency this Friday.

PEPONI MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT, CHOI JUNGHOON’s agency, stated in an official social media announcement that the individual had posted hundreds of private comments on a blog directly managed by CHOI JUNGHOON. The comments contained insults, requests for private meetings, death threats, photos of the perpetrator, as well as sexually offensive photos and remarks. The agency wrote that these actions caused the artist “mental distress.”
The agency filed a complaint against the individual under the law for suppressing harassment crimes and the special law concerning the suppression of sexual crimes.
In addition to the 5 million won fine, a court also ordered the convicted individual to undergo a therapeutic program to address their harassment behavior. According to the agency, the decision is now final.
The agency added that it will continue to take legal action against malicious online posts, including defamation, insults, dissemination of false information, and sexually explicit acts using telecommunication media. It specified that it continuously collects evidence of malicious posts through fan reports and internal monitoring to ensure its artists can focus on their activities stably.
“We will hold perpetrators strictly accountable without settlement or leniency in principle,” the agency stated.
