EJAE: Artist who recorded the most streams in the USA
Singer and songwriter EJAE, who participated in the OST of the Netflix animation “K-POP DEMON HUNTER”, was identified as the K-pop artist who recorded the highest number of streams in the United States last year.

According to the music and entertainment data compilation media Luminate, on March 9, EJAE ranked 1st among K-pop artists after recording last year in the United States a total of 2.1 billion On-Demand streams, combining music and videos. On-demand streaming is an indicator that counts the number of times users directly selected and played a specific song or video.
HUNTRIX, the virtual girl group appearing in “K-POP DEMON HUNTER” in which EJAE participated in the vocals, followed with 1.8 billion streams. Next, the group STRAY KIDS ranked 3rd with 1.2 billion.
The group SAJA BOYS, which appears in the work, also ranked 5th with 921.1 million streams. The group BTS, which is planning a full-group comeback this month, recorded 892.3 million streams and ranked 10th.
Luminate emphasized that among the top 10, 8 teams were either singers who participated in the OST of “K-POP DEMON HUNTER” or virtual groups appearing in the film, thus highlighting the influence of the work.
Luminate evaluated:
“The unexpected success of ‘K-POP DEMON HUNTER’ is an example showing how the K-pop industry has evolved over the past ten years. Although it is a film produced in the United States, both the film and the OST achieved significant results.”
