WONPIL of DAY6 returns as a solo artist with the release of a new song titled “사랑병동”.
WONPIL will release his first mini-album “UNPILTERED” on March 30. JYP ENTERTAINMENT published the tracklist image of the new album on the official social networks of DAY6 on the afternoon of March 13, thus increasing expectations.
The new opus will include a total of 7 songs, led by the title track “사랑병동”, followed by “Toxic love”, “어른이 되어 버렸다”, “Up all night”, “Step by step”, “백만송이는 아니지만” and “Piano”.
WONPIL demonstrated his capabilities as an emotional singer-songwriter by taking charge of the writing and composition of all the songs on the new album. Additionally, composer Hong Ji Sang, with whom he has collaborated for a long time, as well as Lee Woo Min “collapsedone”, author of many K-pop hits, Park Woo Sang (LOGOS), TAEY (LOGOS) and minGtion joined him to add diversity to the album.
The album “UNPILTERED”, which WONPIL presents about 4 years after his first studio album “PILMOGRAPHY”, literally means WONPIL in a state having undergone no filter. Rather than showing a polished and refined image, he focused on leaving his appearance as it is, naturally capturing the interior and narrative of WONPIL. Having already offered a rich sensibility and a warm voice through various DAY6 records and his solo album, attention is focused on the vast musical story he will make heard through this new opus.
Taking advantage of the fervor of this solo comeback, he will organize his exclusive concert “WONPIL SOLO CONCERT ‘UNPILTERED’” for three days, from May 1 to 3. Details regarding this performance will be revealed later.
WONPIL‘s first mini-album, “UNPILTERED”, and the title song “사랑병동” will be available on various music sites on March 30 at 18h KST.
