HEO GAYOON
HEO GAYOON, a former member of the group 4MINUTE, is lending a helping hand to Cube Entertainment (hereafter “Cube”) in training their new idols. Drawing on her extensive experience, she is transitioning into the role of Creative Director.
According to information gathered on April 14, HEO GAYOON recently joined Cube Entertainment to provide her expertise in the development and launch of the agency’s new idol group.
Having debuted in 2009 with the digital single “HOT ISSUE” as part of 4MINUTE, she enjoyed a prolific career until 2016, releasing a string of hits such as “Hot issue,” “What’s your name?” and “Heart to heart.” She also distinguished herself as an actress, appearing in “Light and shadow” (MBC, 2012), “Let’s eat 2″ (tvN, 2015), and “Oh! Youngsim” (ENA, 2023), as well as in the films “Daddy, daughter me” and “Rose of betrayal”, solidifying her status as a versatile artist.
Recently, her appearance on the tvN show “You Quiz on the Block” made headlines when she spoke candidly about her life after 4MINUTE’s disbandment. She revealed that she had been living in Bali for three years, explaining that the sudden passing of her brother at the age of 33 had prompted her departure, a confession that earned her many messages of comfort and support.
Having experienced life as both an idol and an actress, she is now putting her know-how at the service of Cube’s rookie development department. Since she took her first steps in the industry with 4MINUTE under this very label, this return to her “original family” to train the next generation is a full-circle moment.
As other former idols, such as Lee Hae-in, are already finding great success as creative directors, all eyes are now on the vision HEO GAYOON will bring to the new generation of idols.
