FANTASY BOYS
Funky Studio and PocketDol Studio have slammed the court’s decision to grant the FANTASY BOYS members’ request to suspend their exclusive contracts, calling the ruling a “leap in legal logic.”

The agencies announced their intention to appeal and to respond with a lawsuit on the merits of the case.
On April 18, both parties expressed regret over the judgment, stating that “rigorous standards were applied to certain procedural requirements without sufficiently considering the reality of entertainment management and past efforts to honor the contracts.“
In its verdict, the court acknowledged that the agencies had provided financial statements for the first and second quarters of 2025, but considered that the lack of precision regarding income and the absence of supporting documents (receipts, etc.) constituted a major cause for a breach of trust.
To this, the two agencies retorted: “We shared settlement documents in accordance with the contract and guaranteed a dispute procedure. This is a point requiring administrative improvement, not a serious violation justifying the cancellation of several years of an exclusive contract.“
They also emphasized that they had continuously invested in the artists’ growth and affirmed that there had been no unfair appropriation or intentional concealment during the settlement process. They argue that “judging that a simple documentation deficiency leads directly to the breakdown of a cooperative relationship amounts to excessively diminishing the agency’s efforts and responsibilities.“
Noh Jong Eon, the legal representative for Funky Studio, stated:
“If this decision becomes a precedent, attempts to invalidate contracts under the pretext of slight administrative gaps could be repeated. We will prove the sincere execution of the contract during the trial on the merits by submitting precise details of expenses and the basis for the settlements.”
Finally, the two agencies added: “Regardless of the legal dispute, we will fulfill our responsibilities in supporting the artists’ activities. We hope that the facts will be restored during the judicial proceedings.“
