CHA EUN-WOO
The recent news of CHA EUN-WOO, member of the group ASTRO and actor, has been revealed.

On April 28, the image of CHA EUN-WOO taking the stage at a recently held military band event was published on various social media and online communities.
In the photo, CHA EUN-WOO, dressed in a suit, holds a microphone among the members of the orchestra and performs the military salute. His news attracted attention because it was revealed for the first time since tax evasion suspicions surfaced last January.
CHA EUN-WOO was at the center of a controversy in January when it was reported that the NATIONAL TAX SERVICE had raised issues regarding the structure of the management contract with the company established by his mother, and had notified him of the collection of a colossal amount of income tax. The scale of the tax evasion reportedly amounted to approximately 20 billion won.
As the controversy grew, CHA EUN-WOO stated:
“I will faithfully participate in the subsequent tax procedures. I will humbly follow the final judgment rendered by the relevant institutions and I will assume my responsibilities accordingly”.
Subsequently, on April 8, CHA EUN-WOO stated that he had paid the full amount of the collected taxes. He affirmed:
“I sincerely apologize for having disappointed and troubled many people, including the fans, with the recent tax controversy concerning me. Having conducted my activities thanks to the love and support of many, I take this matter even more heavily and deeply”.
The amount he paid totals 130 billion won, as it was reported that a previously paid portion was recognized as double taxation and a refund was issued.
Furthermore, CHA EUN-WOO enlisted in July of last year and is currently serving in the military band. The date of his discharge is scheduled for January 2027.
