DRIPPIN CHADONGHYEOP
CHADONGHYEOP, the sub-unit of the group DRIPPIN, has revealed a new artistic direction through conceptual images ahead of the release of its first single.
Composed of CHA JUNHO, KIM DONGYUN, and LEE HYEOP, the unit marked the starting point of its activities with photos and videos featuring varied moods.
The agency WOOLLIM ENTERTAINMENT published on April 29 the conceptual photos and films for CHADONGHYEOP‘s first single, titled “DOOGEUNDAE”, via its official social media. This process captivated attention by capturing both the individuality of each member and a unified atmosphere for the unit.
In the first conceptual photos, the sets highlighting each member’s character are striking. CHA JUNHO displayed an impression of softness combined with a refreshing vibe using books and headphones. KIM DONGYUN revealed an energetic side with a megaphone and a nose piercing, while LEE HYEOP accentuated a “kitsch” image with pink makeup and chewing gum.
The following photos focused on scenes where the three members are gathered, showing a different texture. Various objects such as hearts, stickers, and paperclips were arranged to create a playful space. Matching outfits bearing the inscription “HEART RATE” helped visually express the emotion of excitement.
The concept film extended this atmosphere into video. Cute expressions and various poses of the members followed one another, accompanied by a snippet of the soundtrack from “Doogeundae”. In particular, the segment containing the lyrics “As soon as I see you, my heart flutters” provided a glimpse into the emotion of the track.
These photos and films function as a showcase presenting the image of excitement based on the kitsch and preppy styles that “DOOGEUNDAE” aims for. With this first unit album, CHADONGHYEOP proposes a movement aimed at expanding their musical spectrum while presenting a transformed image of the group.
CHADONGHYEOP‘s first single, “DOOGEUNDAE”, will be released on May 12 at 6 PM KST on all music streaming platforms.
