The member of the group GOT7, YUGYEOM, was chosen as the K-pop star giving off the most family-oriented vibes, according to the fan voting platform Picnic.
In the poll organized under the theme of Parents’ Day in Korea from April 10 to 24, YUGYEOM ranked first with 69,695 votes. IAN of the girl group HEARTS2HEARTS came in second place with 35,111 votes, followed by the singer and actor PARK JI HOON with 18,529 votes.
The platform stated that the selection of YUGYEOM can be attributed to his consistently warm and caring communication with fans. He has also frequently spoken about his family and parents with affection.
YUGYEOM has been performing his military service since September 29 of last year.
Picnic also noted that the vote was significant because global fans went beyond simple consumption of Korean content and showed an understanding and connection with Korean culture, especially its family-oriented values.
