KIM SUHO
The young musical actor KIM SUHO is embarking on a new challenge by joining the cast of the musical “DEAR EVAN HANSEN”.
KIM SUHO announced a new acting transformation by appearing on the cast list of the second production of “DEAR EVAN HANSEN” unveiled on May 13.
“DEAR EVAN HANSEN” is a work that tells the story of a boy aspiring to connect with others amidst anxiety and isolation. It has received immense love across the world for its delicate description of relationships, wounds, and the healing process within modern society.
In the play, KIM SUHO will portray Connor Murphy, a character always inhabited by anger and discontent, but who brings a major change in the life of the protagonist, Evan. He is expected to reveal an intense charm and an unprecedented facet of his acting that he had not yet shown until now.
He shared his impressions:
“It is an honor to participate in this work. Since it is my first participation in a production in a large theater, I am a bit nervous, but I will practice hard to offer a great performance on stage.”
Debuting with “BARE: A POP OPERA”, KIM SUHO has built a solid filmography by interpreting new characters each time in various works such as “ROBIN” and “DIAGHILEV”. He regularly receives rave reviews for his stable vocal abilities and his delicate acting, unusual for a newcomer. He is currently leaving a strong impression on viewers in the role of Benois within the musical “DIAGHILEV”.
For this production, Park Kang-hyun, Lim Kyu-hyung, and Na Hyun-woo have been cast for the role of Evan Hansen. Kim Sun-young and Shin Young-sook will interpret Heidi Hansen, while the role of Connor Murphy will be held by Cho Minho and KIM SUHO.
Additionally, Kang Ji-hye and Jang Min-je will play Zoe Murphy, Jang Hyun-sung and Jung Dong-eun will be Larry Murphy, and Ahn Si-ha as well as Lim Min-young will portray Cynthia Murphy. The roles of Jared Kleinman will be carried by Kim Kang-jin and Yoon Hyun-sun, those of Alana Beck by Kang Eun-se and Yeoum Hee-jin, while Kim Young-hoon, Saebom, Park Gun-woo, and Son Seol-bin will participate as swings to perfect the work.
Moreover, the musical “DEAR EVAN HANSEN” with KIM SUHO will be performed from August 1 to November 11 at the Chungmu Arts Center Grand Theater.
