A song with 500 million streams on Spotify was born for the first time.
The songs “Bite Me” and “Sweet venom” by the group ENHYPEN have achieved significant results on Spotify.
According to Spotify on May 16, the title track “Bite Me” from ENHYPEN‘s 4th mini-album “DARK BLOOD” recorded a cumulative number of plays of 500,195,420 times as of the past 14th. With this, ENHYPEN has produced its first 500 million-streaming song since its debut.
Furthermore, on the same day, the title track “Sweet Venom” from the 5th mini-album “ORANGE BLOOD” was played 200,028,930 times. This is the group’s 7th song to reach 200 million streams in total.
“Bite Me” is a pop genre song that depicts the wish for a girl to bite one again after reuniting with one’s partner of destiny. Captivating vocals, a melody that is both minimal and addictive, as well as a performance expressing the image of blood-thirsty boys combined to captivate the hearts of global listeners. As a result, although three years have passed since the release of this song, it showed the power of adding 100 million plays in about 9 months after surpassing 400 million cumulative plays in August of last year.
“Sweet Venom” is a funk/pop genre song based on a groovy bassline. It contains the story of a promise to hold on by “your” side even if the venom spreads throughout the entire body. The combined cumulative number of plays of all the songs they have released reaches approximately 7.1 billion times.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN opened the splendid doors of its world tour “ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR ‘BLOOD SAGA’” at the KSPO DOME in Seoul from May 1 to 3 and met about 32,250 fans. They will embark on a tour of Japan’s 4 major domes from next December to February of next year, passing through South America and North America in July-August, and Macau in October. They plan to pursue their global steps by extending a tour with a total scale of 32 performances in 21 cities worldwide, including Asia and Europe, until March of next year.
