The group I.O.I returns with an even deeper sensitivity and a mature atmosphere.
I.O.I (Lim Na Young, Chungha, Kim Se Jeong, Jung Chae Yeon, Kim So Hye, Yoo Yeon Jung, Choi Yoo Jung, Kim Do Yeon, Jeon Somi) unveiled the second music video teaser for “Suddenly” (갑자기), the title song of its 3rd mini-album “I.O.I : LOOP”, via its official social media.
The published video captivates the eye with vintage colors and an ambiance evoking film archives. The shots, which bring out the unique charm and atmosphere of each member, stimulate the imagination regarding the new narrative that I.O.I will draw together.
The title song “Suddenly” (갑자기) is a track that expresses the nostalgia that suddenly arises and the remnants of radiant memories through a delicate synth-pop sound. Member JEON SOMI participated in writing the lyrics to breathe into them the affection of the time spent together and relationships that reconnect. The repetitive lyrics and the dreamlike outro sound awaken the emotions that had stopped, leaving a deep impression.
The 3rd mini-album “I.O.I : LOOP” continues to generate buzz as an album celebrating the 10th debut anniversary of I.O.I, but also as a new opus published after about a 9-year absence. It includes a total of 6 songs, including the title track “갑자기 (Suddenly)”, as well as “Ioi (Where My Girls At)”, “Spf 100+ (Summer Pop Fantasy)”, “If I”, “그때 우리 지금”, and “웃으며 안녕 (Recorded in 2016)”. The members also participated in the creation of the tracks, thereby raising the level of perfection.
I.O.I will continue the fervor of this comeback by organizing the tour “2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: LOOP” at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul from May 29 to 31.
