The countdown is launched, the K-pop group PRIMROSE has just unveiled the official schedule of festivities for its grand return with a brand new album.
To orchestrate this highly anticipated comeback, the girls opted for a particularly meticulous retro aesthetic.
The unveiled visual takes the form of an old cathode-ray tube computer monitor in metallic gray tones, on which is displayed an ultra-precise schedule of festivities spread over two full weeks. The revelations will follow one another at a frantic pace starting June 9 with the online release of the first mood photos called “FLIM PHOTO 1”, followed by a huge series of daily concept photos planned without interruption from June 11 to 17. To make the temperature rise, a medley of the tracks from the album will be offered on June 18 before giving way to the official music video teaser on June 23.
This announcement confirms the artistic direction of this project titled “COSMIC”. The graphics, blending a textured space imagery at the top of the screen and colored “glitch” type digital distortions at the base of the monitor, portend a concept at once futuristic, nostalgic, and bold. Fans are already wondering about the musical color this comeback will take, impatient to discover how the group will appropriate this retro-futuristic theme through its new songs and its visuals.
The official release of the album “COSMIC” of PRIMROSE as well as its music video is definitively scheduled for June 24.
