The group LIGHTSUM celebrated the 5th anniversary of its debut by addressing sincere thanks to its fans.
Its agency CUBE Entertainment unveiled on June 10, via the official social networks of LIGHTSUM, a congratulatory image for the 5th anniversary of its debut. In the photo, SANGAH, CHOWON, NAYOUNG, HINA, JUHYEON, and YUJEONG display a bright smile in polaroid shots, revealing a friendship similar to that of a family.
The leader SANGAH shared her impressions by stating: “I cannot believe that five years have already passed since I made the debut I dreamed of”, and “I want to continue to be together with SUMIT in the future by creating many more new memories”.
CHOWON transmitted her affection towards the fans by saying: “The moment of our debut and the moment when I met the SUMIT for the first time are still so vivid, and it is already the 5th anniversary”, and “My treasures, SUMIT, I always thank you and I love you very much”.
NAYOUNG stated: “I am so grateful to the members and the SUMIT who ran together by our side during all this time”, and “I would like us to continue to create varied memories for ourselves in the future”.
HINA expressed her determination by saying: “Thanks to the presence of the SUMIT by our side during these 5 years, it remains a happy memory”, and “I am going to make efforts in the future so that the SUMIT can always be happy”.
JUHYEON revealed: “It is thanks to the fans that I was happy during these 5 years. I will become an artist who sings and dances for a very very long time”. YUJEONG left a message of thanks by stating: “It is thanks to the SUMIT that we were able to get this far. I am always grateful and I want us to create good memories together in the future”.
LIGHTSUM took its first steps in the music industry by publishing on June 10, 2021, its debut single “VANILLA”. Subsequently, the group showed its own color through varied music such as “Vivace”, “Alive”, “Honey or spice”, and “Pose!”.
This year, SANGAH, CHOWON, and JUHYEON presented themselves as the first sub-unit of LIGHTSUM to perform a cover of “Beautiful pain” by BTOB. YUJEONG expanded her field of activity by trying her hand for the first time at acting in the web-drama “구독연애”.
LIGHTSUM recently meets its fans by also going on the celebration stage of the opening of the new SBS entertainment show “열혈농구단 시즌2 (Rising Eagles Saison 2)” as well as on the stages of various university festivals.
Celebrating the 5th anniversary of its debut, LIGHTSUM will organize a mini fan meeting this June 10 at 7 p.m. KST at the Cube Factory, located on the first floor of the headquarters of CUBE Entertainment, to spend a special moment with its fans.
