The vocal R&B group HAT:Q is making its official debut in the music world.
The agency LAYBACK stated on June 30: “HAT:Q (Gayeon, Chaey, Kisa) will release its debut single “일상 (LIFE GOES ON)” on each music site this June 30 at noon KST and will begin its debut activities in earnest.”
The group name HAT:Q is a portmanteau composed of “Heart” and “Unique,” and contains the ambition to capture people’s hearts with their own personality and their music. The three members all come from applied music departments and display solid vocal skills.
HAT:Q‘s debut song, “일상 (Life goes on)”, is a song that expresses the ambivalent state of mind of wanting to live a full life while seeking comfort. It expresses with the sensibility of HAT:Q the moment when one grants oneself a little respite to look back on one’s day in the middle of a daily life that flies by at full speed.
GAYEON with the solid voice, CHAEY whose pop timbre stands out, and KISA who possesses a deep R&B sensibility complete the harmony by drawing the musical color specific to HAT:Q. In particular, starting by expressing the details contained in each letter of the lyrics and each breath, the members of HAT:Q showed off their musical abilities by participating directly in the work on choruses and ad-libs.
HAT:Q shared its debut impressions by declaring: “We are happy and excited to make the debut we have dreamed of for a long time with a good song”, and added: “As this is a first single prepared by putting a lot of time and effort into it, we hope that our music will be a little comfort and a happiness in your daily life.”
HAT:Q will appear on the ENA show “K-Popup Chart Show” which will be broadcast this June 30 at 5:40 PM KST to present its debut stage there.
