KATSEYE announced an even more expanded musical spectrum.
KATSEYE presented the highlight medley of its third EP album “WILD” on August 11 in the morning via the YouTube channel of HYBE LABELS. The video with a duration of about 2 minutes and 52 seconds visually expressed musical colors by showing in turn different scenes of “WILD” through a rotating projector screen.
The beginning of the medley was decorated by the highly addictive chorus of “Pinky up” and the seductive rhythm of “Animal”. Next, the burning energy of the title song “Hootie frutti” builds up the mood. The exotic intro in Portuguese and the suspenseful rhythm that seems to strike the heart highlight the originality of the track.
Subsequently, tracks with different charms follow one another. “Bel air” is a ballad where the clear timbre of KATSEYE and a deep emotional line harmonize. “That way” highlights a dreamy sound and a provocative atmosphere, while in “Unloveu”, in which the member LARA participated for the lyrics and composition, one can glimpse the suave harmonies and delicate emotional expression of the members. “Unloveu” is a song that can only be found in the American Target exclusive edition and the overseas distributor exclusive edition.
At the same time as the flow of the music, the visual concept of “WILD” also lifted the veil. Starting with the pink-tinted room appearing in the music video for “Pinky up”, a red space in the music video for “Animal”, a bedroom where a vintage sofa and a lamp are placed, as well as a frank and free hideout where a motorcycle is parked appear in turn. By showing these different spaces in a crossed manner, the video condensed the various atmospheres that WILD possesses.
The video ends with the phrase “New era, new aura” accompanied by the name of the album. These are the words left by YOONCHAE in the trailer for KATSEYE‘s first documentary film, “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS”, scheduled for release on August 12, suggesting the next era of KATSEYE that will begin with this new album.
The third EP album of KATSEYE, “WILD”, will be released on August 14. Global musicians and producers such as BANG SI HYUK, the chairman of HYBE, as well as ED SHEERAN, OMER FEDI, BLAKE SLATKIN, PATRIK BERGER, JOHNNY GOLDSTEIN participated in the credits of the album.
