Since the beginning of 2017, Primadonnas were impatient. Indeed, in June FTISLAND celebrated their 10 years of career and for the occasion the group had decided to offer them several gifts.
First, a serie of concert was announced, in Seoul, Japan and, to the delight of fans of the old continent, in 6 cities of Europe (Moscow, Warsaw, Budapest, Amsterdam, Paris and Istanbul). A month and a half later, a few days before the anniversary date, the group decided to release a new version of its debut song, “Love sick 사랑 앓이“. This song being part of the new album to crown the 10 years on stage: “Over 10 years“.
On June 7, D-Day of the celebration, the band released a second song, “Wind“, the main track for this album.
FTISLAND being showmen, they express themselves the best on stage and on August 26 and 27 they kicked off their tour in Seoul. Two months later, we found them in France for their October 27concert, in Paris. Kstation TV attended this show and tells you all about it.
Two long years after its last Parisian concert, the band was back in the city of lights for a sold-out show at the Elysee Montmartre theatre.
Several hours before the festivities began, the fans waited patiently, in good spirits, finalizing the projects that had been prepared for the occasion.
With a slightly delayed entry, the public finally reached the room and discovered the stage with, in the background, a huge graffiti representing the name “FTISLAND“, surrounded by phrases and words such as “Pray“, “Champagne“, “Take me now” or “Where’s the truth“, which are different titles from the band.
The impatience began to be felt as the musical introduction was launched and it was under the shouts of the crowd, which could no longer wait, that HONGKI, JONGHOON, JAEJIN, SEUNGHYUN and MINHWAN came on stage.
As the group began its show with the title “Wind“, the air blowing in the room immediately inflamed the Primadonnas who held high their lighsticks, waved banners “WELCOME BACK” and sang along the words of the song during the musical bridge. FTISLAND followed with the titles “Want it“, “Champagne” and “The night“, before properly presenting themselves to the public.
Alternating old and new tracks to delight the crowd, the group was also surprised and touched to see banners “FTISLAND X PRIMADONNAS” being waved during the song “Love Sick“, while the public sang the lyrics in unison. Another way to show the strong bond that has been uniting fans and FTISLAND for the last ten years.
During their short talk, the members took the chance to promise that they would come back and stay longer next time. And, while some fans had managed to enter with bottles of Soju, the opportunity was taken to drink to the health of the French public, to whom the group kept repeating how grateful he was for the love he has been receiving from him, even making the effort to say a few words in the language of Moliere.
From a simple “thank you“, to “I love you“, through a few classic presentation sentences, FTISLAND were definitely at the rendezvous.
After 2 hours on stage and an encore energetically demanded by the public, the band ended its concert with “나무“, which was dedicated to the Primadonnas. Then, the members left the venue, not without going through a session of “Hi-Touch” with some privileged fans.
