SEVENTEEN take a new course and reveal a new maturity.
Today, January 21st, 2019, we meet at the Olympic Park in the Olympic Hall for the comeback of SEVENTEEN of Pledis Entertainment. The 13 boys are back with a 6th mini-album “YOU MADE MY DAWN” that comes after “YOU MAKE MY DAY” released in July 2018.
This new comeback allows the group to unveil a new face. Boys go from adolescence to young adults who express new feelings. With this new album, SEVENTEEN put a new cornerstone to the future growth of their group as musicians, which will seduce the public.
The showcase begins with the performance of their title “Home“. It’s the great SEVENTEEN, a precision in the choreography worthy of the biggest groups. The lyrics of the song and the feelings that emerge are transmitted more intensely through the movement of the choreography. You will not be able to let go of the 13 young people.

The boys are finally on stage to present their 6th mini-album “YOU MADE MY DAWN“, they are, initially, interviewed by the MC.
You have gained a lot of popularity in entertainment shows. You even won a prize. Have you personally experienced your popularity ?
SEUNG KWAN: I did it. I feel like I’m lucky. The public supported me in different ways. I believe that I am only the first person whose “humor” has been revealed. The other members are just as hilarious and I expect them to “explode”. Especially DK 도겸 who is bravely funny.
Introduce us the song “Home“.
WOOZI: We wanted her to transmit a feeling of warmth so that she could melt the cold of winter.
Which part of the song is the most “pointed”?
THE8: The song in its entirety is “a killing”.
SEUNG KWAN: We tried to associate murder with healing. (Intentional word game)
Can you introduce the main choreographic point?
THE8: (dance for the part “여기 너의 집 이야”). It’s called ‘집이야 춤’ (I’m at home). It represents the opening movement of the door
SEVENTEEN is called “자체 제작 돌” (self-producing idol group). What about this album? Has each member actively participated ?
MINGYU: As always, all members have actively participated. So I hope fans will like it.
Can you explain the name of the album “YOU MADE MY DAWN”?
S.COUPS: That means it’s you who created dawn for me who am in the dark.
What did you pay the most attention to when preparing?
DINO: Three key words: maturity, warmth and comfort. This album was a matter of life and death for me.
Were there any interesting stories while you produced the album?
VERNON: SEUNG KWAN promised to buy meat when he won a 신인상 (a reward for rookies in entertainment), and we ate Korean beef last night.
SEUNG KWAN: We talked a lot about showcase while eating beef.

After this presentation, the 13 members of SEVENTEEN were interviewed by the journalists present.
During the first questions, the journalists focused on the participation of the members in the creation of the mini-album. WOOZI who participated the most, said the titles could be written by all members because everyone is very interested.
On this topic of “creation” KSTATION TV came back for the complexity and the dose of work, asking this question :
This question could be addressed to all members but we ask it to WOOZI. You participate in the writing, the composition, the production of the mini-album and you perform on stage. Is not it difficult to juggle all this? And is there one of the parameters that you prefer ?
WOOZI: Yes it was true right after our debut, the production of albums was quite difficult because I didn’t have much know-how. However, since we have a lot of experience together, it becomes easier and easier. In addition, thinking of the fans waiting for us gives us the energy to work harder.
MINGYU: We have no preference between performance and production. It’s like choosing between mom and dad. I think there is continuity between production and performance.
SEVENTEEN want this mini-album to be a comfort for the people who listen to it. They want you to feel at home wherever you are, listening to their music.
The group hopes to be able to do other activities in unity this year, they pay attention to any opportunities that may arise.
If boys win a musical show, they want to offer hot things, like hot bags, warm food, to warm the hearts and bodies of their fans during this winter to keep them healthy.

SEVENTEEN did a world tour, but parts of the planet were not represented. Is it planned to make concerts in Europe, South America … ?
S.COUPS: We are aware that there are a lot of our fans around the world, we try to plan as many dates as possible for the world tour. We have never been to Europe, but we don’t know what will be planned yet, so I hope we can go to Europe this year.

For all fans, the packaging may seem outdated, but the best is inside, because as soon as the opening of the cover you will come face to face with one of the members in hologram, so that there is 13 versions of this new mini-album. Then you can enjoy a first booklet containing the lyrics of the songs allowing you to follow and better understand each title. The second booklet is the photobook containing 50 pages of pictures more beautiful than the others. All will be completed with a sticker “YMMD“, a mini poster of a member and two photocards. Finally the most important cd containing the 6 titles of the new mini-album that you can listen in loop. A package certainly small in size but of a quality at the height of the work of 13 boys.
