Group CROSS GENE is celebrating its 7-year career today.
On June 8th, 2012, CROSS GENE debuts with the title “La di da di”.
Basically CROSS GENE consisted of 6 members, 2 Chinese members CASPER and J.G, 1 Japanese member TAKUYA and 3 Korean members SHIN, YONGSEOK and SANGMIN. The group aimed to represent this Asian mix, touching Korean history with Chinese and Japanese invasions. As if to say “the time has passed now we are united”.
But very quickly J.G will leave the group and will be replaced by SEYOUNG. CROSS GENE are very popular in Japan, but it’s hard to get fans in Korea. The group is holding firm but between 2017 and 2019 CASPER and TAKUYA will decide not to renew their contracts and will leave the group.
The last comeback of CROSS GENE took place in May 2018 with their mini-album “ZERO“.
