IZ*ONE cancel the presentation showcase but move forward.

Regarding the release of IZ*ONE‘s first complete album, “BLOOM*IZ“, a manager said today in Seoul Shimbun that the release of the album “BLOOM*IZ” was confirmed and that there was nothing to say about it. The first album, which will be released by IZ*ONE for seven months, will be released on November 11th.
Earlier in the day, IZ*ONE‘s Off the Record announced the cancellation of IZ*ONE‘s presentation scheduled for Monday. Before the release of the album, the showcase is where reporters interview the group on their new album and their activity projects. Although the presentation was canceled due to the growing controversy over vote rigging at “Produce 48”, the fact that the album was released with its release is interpreted as an intention to avoid uncomfortable questions.
Mnet’s “survival” entertainment program, “Produce X 101”, which ended in July, suggested that it had manipulated the final vote. As the corresponding controversy took shape, it was suspected that “Produce 48” from the previous season had been handled in the same way. For example, Mnet producer Ahn Joon-young and co-producer Kim Yong-beom, accused of obstructing commercial activities by fraud and hypocrisy, were arrested by police on November 5th. In a recent police investigation, producer Ahn Joon Young reportedly admitted to having tampered with the results of the past two seasons.
IZ*ONE is a 12-member girl group that debuted through “Produce 48” last year. It has nine Korean members (Jang Won-young, Jo Yu-na, Ahn Yoo-jin, Kwon Eun-bi, Kang Hye-won, Kim Chae-won, Kim Min-eun and Lee Chae-yeon) and three Japanese members (Sakura Miyawaki, Yabuki Nako and Hitomi Honda). Since its official debut last October, It is very popular in Korea and Japan.
IZ*ONE‘s debut full-length album, “BLOOM*IZ,” slated for release on Monday, is proving to be very popular as it leads the real-time charts of Korean charts Shinnara Recorder and Japan’s Tower Records.
