12During an interview with KOREA JOONGANG DAILY, B.I.G members talk about their last comeback and thank their arab fans for their support.
On January 25th 2019, KBS WORLD ARABIC invites B.I.G for a radio broadcast. The boys cover the song « LA BEZZAF » from THE5 and it’s an immediat success. They are the firsts to sing a song in arabic and the video that they uplaod not so long after reaches one million views in a week. GUNMIN says : « We knew that there were (arab) fans ever since our debut, so we said to ourserves that we should cover a famous song without thinking too much about it. […] But it turned out to be a lot bigger than we thought. »
Thanks to this success, they start their Global Cover Project and cover ABU‘s « 3 DAQUAT », SAAM LAMJARRED‘s « LM3ALLEM », HUSSAIN AL JASSMI‘s « BOSHRET KHEIR » and their own comeback « HELLO HELLO » in arabic, consolidating in the same way their relationship with the fans from the Arab countries.
Very grateful for the support and the love that they receive from them, the members come back with a song in korean but also in arabic. B.I.G is the first groupe to sing in that language and the music itself is a great mix between the two cultures. MINPYO explains : « We tried to capture the trends in Korea and the trends in Arab culture. We analyzed the songs that are hot right now […]. I think the song has the characteristics of both cultures in a good way. »
Last November, the boys finally met their fans during a concert and a fan meeting in Abu Dhabi. They also had the opportunity to film « ILLUSION »’s choreography in the desert. HEEDO confesses : « I didn’t realize it would be so hard to dance on sand. » Yet B.I.G is doing just fine and offers us an exotic and unique video.
The video ends on a note of hope for the fans all around the world since B.I.G confesses its desire to hold concerts overseas. BENJI confirms : « We are actually focusing a lot on going overseas. Wherever we go and whichever reaction we get, we enjoy ourselves and we bring the energy up. »
We hope that all the fans will have one day the opportunity to see them in concert and that they will also honor us with their presence in France.
