CHERRY BULLET
CHERRY BULLET strikes again with “Hands up”

Group CHERRY BULLET of FNC Entertainment, makes us a surprise return with a new single called “Hands up“.
This comeback is the first since the departure of 3 members in December 2019. The group is therefore currently composed of HAEYOON, YUJU, BORA, JIWON, REMI, CHAERIN, and MAY.
For CHERRY BULLET everything officially started in January 2019 with a first title “Really really” and a pretty cute concept. Group CHERRY BULLET is the second female group to debut with FNC Entertainment after AOA.

Today February 11th, 2020, CHERRY BULLET appear at the YES24 Live Hall in front of the press to present us “Hands up” with a concept opposite to the first. With much more charisma, energy and power, CHERRY BULLET intends to let people know that they are back.
The girls go up on stage to first of all lend themselves to the game of the photographers. Charismatic and smiling, they vary the poses to be in keeping with their “double identity”, both Cherry because adorable but also Bullet because full of energy. For their first titles, “Q&A” and “Really Really“, they bet on the first aspect of their group while this comeback reveals the other side of CHERRY BULLET. For this digital single called “Hands up“, the emphasis is on performance which aims to be powerful and energetic.

The girls deliver a brief description of this song which uses as melody that of Beethoven’s Für Elise, before adding sounds called Trap 808. “Hands up” expresses a strong desire to enjoy the ambient atmosphere without paying attention to what surrounds us. Without losing a second, the seven young women make their first performance on stage of this title before the associated clip is broadcast. The members each reveal their charms and shine on stage, as in the clip which fairly highlights the girls. The MV is colorful and dynamic and CHERRY BULLET seem to find their mark in this new concept.

“During the preparation time for this comeback, we sought to develop our charisma” – CHAERIN
The key point of their choreography is the moment when they sing “Hands up“, when their arms are above their heads. CHAERIN and JIWON then demonstrate the movement in question. The girls are impatient to reveal this new image to their fans. They also refer to their lightstick, which was revealed a few days ago, in the shape of a gun.

” Our lightstick fits us perfectly and we are happy that it pleases our fans so much ” – HAEYOON
While they were eagerly preparing for this new title, the girls had little opportunity to communicate with the outside world, in particular with their friends, but they were not however frustrated because the most important for it is to offer a performance that meets the expectations of the fans. Many people surrounded them to help them prepare for this comeback, especially the girls group AOA with whom they often shared meals. Other artists from the agency also supported them. When we asked them who they thought best suited this new concept, they took turns expressing their opinion, starting with the youngest MAY who chose CHAERIN. The latter chooses JIWON who also chooses it with MAY. REMI and HAEYOON, they select YUJU.

“I find that all the members respond well to the concept of the girl crush but REMI gives off a different aura in the clip, which is why I think it best represents this comeback” – BORA
To improve their dancing skills, they watch a lot of videos from other groups and also perform their choreographies to practice. The members were all impatient for this day to do their showcase and look forward to meeting their fans. After a few thanks, they greet their audience and end the showcase while the clip for “Hands up” is broadcast again.
