TOP MEDIA‘s boys group MCND makes their debut with the title “Ice Age“.
The young group is made up of the following five members: CASTLE J (캐슬 제이), BIC (빅), MINJAE (민재), HUIJUN (휘준) and WIN (윈). With an average age of eighteen, MCND, meaning Music Creates New Dream, released this February 27th an album with five titles, the song of their debut being “Ice Age“. It is with obvious joy that the boys take the stage during a showcase taking place in Seoul. Their watchword is “Freeze!” And the impatience for their debut is undeniable.
Before debuting, MINJAE and HUIJIN participated in The Fan on SBS and WIN on Under Nineteen on MBC. The group also made its pre-debut with the title “Top Gang”, which can be found on this album. The members then pose for the photographers, with a big smile and lots of freshness. By introducing himself, BIC stands out with his soft voice while he occupies the position of rapper in the group, unlike WIN and his deep voice despite his very young age, being born in 2004.

The teaser for the group’s debut is then broadcast before the boys discuss the different songs from the album:
- « Into the ICE AGE » : This song opens the door to the world. It shows the group’s determination to make the world more cool and sparkling.
- « Ice Age » : Hip-hop song based on synthesizer tones written by the leader CASTLE J. It mainly talks about self-confidence and the group’s ambition for their debut, like a roller coaster. Some lyrics are more punchy like “We are cold and we shine like ice” while the chorus sung in chorus is more luminous and melodic.
- « Stereotypes » : This song expresses the desire to fly freely away from the stereotypical constraints that are repeated every day, in particular with “Get out of this frame and fly away”. Based on the hip-hop rhythm of an acoustic drum, this track is characterized by a sound that expresses the emotions of adolescents, with the piano and the electric guitar.
- « Hey you » : With catchy synthesizer sound and easy-to-listen hip-hop rhythm, words that forge friendships like “With you I would run in the labyrinth to open the way to a new world” help to highlight the members from different perspectives.
- « Top Gang » : In this title, the members wrote their past, and expressed their ambition to run towards their goal with confidence and passion. Sensual rap and the characteristic voices of the members combine with energy.

After this album presentation, the members talk about the groups that started before them under the same agency, TEEN TOP and UP10TION, which gave them a lot of courage to be able, in turn, to go on stage and take over. For them, being part of this group is a way to enjoy their youth by having fun with each other.

« As some members participated in “survival” type shows before debuting under the name of MCND, we plan to make songs in sub-units or even solo. In addition, these shows allowed them to gain experience and get used to the cameras. » – CASTLE J
They also express their sadness at not being able to meet their fans when they promote their title song because of the preventive measures taken against the Corona Virus. Aware that it is to preserve the health of the fans, they don’t despair however, that one day they will be able to meet them and will work just as hard to ensure the success of their debuts.

The boys then leave the stage to go prepare to perform while the medley of their album is released, followed by the MV of the song “Ice Age“. They come back to present their title, their voices resounding in the room with force. The dance is precise and energetic, the boys sparkling, and the refrain sung in unison invites us to discover their universe.
The album will be released on this 27, and during the month of March a program in their honor will be broadcast to get to know the members better.
