Bighit Entertainment, the BTS agency, decided to cancel the concerts in Korea because of the coronavirus.

A press release was posted on Weverse on February 28th to communicate to fans Bighit Entertainment‘s decision regarding the concerts for April 11-12 and April 18-19.
Indeed, the country is currently in difficulty with the virus COVID-19, better known under the name of coronavirus. Many people unfortunately catch the virus so, in order to prevent the spread of the virus, the Korean government decided to control the demonstrations and the events leading to a regrouping of people and to limit them as much as possible.
In order to comply with this government decision, BigHit entertainment has decided to cancel the concerts and thus preserve the health of members, staff and the public.
Although disappointed, the fans quickly decided to use the money from the reimbursed places to follow the good action of SUGA, rapper of the group, who had just donated to the Hope Bridge.
Indeed, affected by the situation in his hometown, Daegu, which is particularly affected by the epidemic, the rapper decided to donate 100 million won (the equivalent of 75,000 euros) to the Hope Bridge which aims to help the victims.
Inspired by this action, several fans decided to do the same following the cancellation of the concerts. Thus, the Hope Bridge association collected 300 million won (the equivalent of around 225,000 euros) in a single day on behalf of ARMY, name given to BTS fans, as well as on behalf of BTS.
We can thus retain that the fans succeeded in making bad news a good action which will help the people in need as well as the researches of a vaccine to fight the virus.
