Fans of GOT7 from all around the world have united for eleven days, asking the company for better treatment of the group.

Fans picked up the movement after a brief period of calm, protesting against the company regarding the group’s treatment.
While JYP Entertainment announced through GOT7 and ITZY’s official social media accounts that legal action would be taken to preserve their artists’ rights on July 2, the situation doesn’t seem to have changed much. Consequently, GOT7’s fans gathered on the same day to criticize a deplorable situation that they feel like has been going on for too long more especially after GOT7 YOUNGJAE‘s post on Instagram, calling out sasaeng fans videotaping him without his agreement.

On July 3, at midnight, GOT7 numerous fanbases announced together on Twitter the start of a movement to denounce the group’s mismanagement and relayed several hashtags such as #IGOT7SpeakingUpForGOT7 and its Korean version #GOT7을위해소리높여말함.

GOT7’s fans have expressed their dissatisfaction on several occasions before and regarding several matters such as the negligence of their artists’ well-being, safety and privacy or the lack of accessibility of albums on worldwide purchasing platforms for their many international fans.
This time around, due to the growing concerns that more than 11,000 people expressed in a survey issued by fanbases, fans decided to come together again on various social media in order to make their claims heard by the company.

And so, Ahgases – GOT7’s fans – issued a public statement listing the measures they wish to be taken such as a follow-up on safety measures for all the members of GOT7, better promotion in South-Korea, more accessible albums sales for international fans, regular, equal and effective promotional activities solo and group-wise.
For 11 days, fans made their voices be heard through social media, trending hashtags all round the world, mass-emailing JYP Entertainment, mass-posting on the group’s fancafe, mass-unfollowing all social media accounts related to the company as well as setting up a truck that was going around the streets of Seoul near the agency’s headquarters as well as various reknown news agency’s head offices.
