Production has been temporarily suspended due to a confirmed case of a novel coronavirus infection at the filming site of Mnet’s idol hearing entertainment show “I-land.”

According to Mnet, on August 15th, an employee of an external company in charge of cleaning services at the “I-land” studio in Paju, Gyeonggi province, tested positive for Covid-19, and the plateau was closed and the scheduled check-in was also canceled.
The employee apparently had no direct contact with the distribution or production team at the scene.
However, for security reasons, the trainees that remained on the set and that participated in the competition had to be removed and the production team went into self-quarantine.
“All of Paju’s teams can only get in by leaving all records, filling out a questionnaire and checking for fever,” Mnet added.
As to whether there will be any disruption in the broadcast, Mnet added, “There are recordings, but we are discussing internally whether they will be released normally.”
