IRENE & SEULGI: Guests at Time 100 Talks

Red Velvet IRENE & SEULGI performed the closing phase of “Time 100 Talks”, a videoconference event hosted by Time magazine in the US on August 18th.

IRENE & SEULGI were invited as the sole performers on “Time 100 Talks”, which aired at 6:00 PM on the 18th KST, and performed for the title track from the first mini album, “MONSTER “. IRENE & SEULGI‘s special performance with intense music and powerful performance caught the attention of viewers all over the world.

“Time 100 Talk” is a video conference series in which Time magazine brings together leaders from different fields to shed light on solutions to global problems and encourage interdisciplinary action. At the event, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, 27th Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, movie star and United Nations Development Plan Goodwill Ambassador Liang Zichung (Yang Ja-kyung), and African Leadership Group Founder and CEO Fred Swaniker spoke on how The World is working to bring about significant changes in global leadership and the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic.

IRENE & SEULGI debuted in July with their debut mini-album “MONSTER” and received enthusiastic responses, ranking first on various national music and record charts, first in 50 regions around the world on the iTunes Top Albums Chart, and number one in China QQ Music and Cugou Music digital album sales charts.
