On November 6th, at midnight, concept photos and audio of singer JIN were released on BTS’s social media. So we find JIN contemplating one of the many diamonds in the room.
For fans of BTS, the internationally renowned group, the color of “JIN’s room” is not surprising. Indeed, JIN, singer of the group, has always proclaimed and proudly wore his favorite color: pink. Thus, it is no surprise that the decorations of the room are colored and in shades of pink. The diamonds giving a shiny appearance to the place are also not new, indeed, it is not uncommon to see the singer wearing shiny outfits, his microphone itself is in pink sequins. We can thus say that the piece is faithful to the tastes of its creator.
Through this set of decorations, the idea that what is present within these walls is a precious stone, a jewel is transmitted to the viewer. JIN confirms this impression in one of his audios in which he explains that everything in this room is as important and to be cherished as diamonds, including him. The “JIN piece” is the very reflection of pure beauty.

For JIN, the most important, the most beautiful and the most precious object in this setting is itself. These statements can be misinterpreted by the public who might take it as a mark of narcissism, but the reality is quite different, indeed, it is a true message of love.
With and through his outlook, JIN asks ARMY, the name given to BTS’ fans, to love each other completely, that nothing is more precious and beautiful than oneself. So it is not okay to be told and believed otherwise. In one of the three audios accompanying the photo, JIN says to never forget that each of us is a unique and precious gem who must shine with confidence, reinforcing the message we want to convey.
This hand extended by the singer is not a first. BTS is a committed group that fights for the rights of youth far too often misunderstood and put under pressure, to the point where young adults of our generations end up forgetting and sometimes even hating themselves. This is why, BTS takes advantage that his voice impacts the world to undertake this fight, in particular with the campaign “LOVE MYSELF” launched by UNICEF or through its own music such as the title “ANSWER: LOVE MYSELF” or others which have a message of hope and mutual aid like “MAGIC SHOP” for example.
