Today STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT‘s JEONG SEWOON makes his comeback with his first album, titled “24 PART 2“.
It is during a live showcase on Youtube that we meet the young singer for the presentation of his new album. The showcase begins directly with a song: “‘:m (Mind)‘ before the singer introduces himself to reporters. He describes the particular title of this song as a character who addresses a kiss to someone, the “m” being both lips, but also the letter representing “mind”. As for his album, he composed it so that he could comfort the people who will listen to it in these complicated times.
The artist then chooses to present each track of his new album:
- « ‘ :m (Mind » : Acoustic title where the sound of the synthesizer and the singer’s voice blend smoothly.
- « In the dark » : The title song of the album, it expresses the fact of running towards a light source without giving up when there is no hope. With pop sounds, it is highlighted by an acoustic guitar. It is symbolized by the phrase “night comes, morning comes.”
- « Fine » : Pop title combining synthesizer and guitar to give an addictive melody, seeking to comfort those listening to it. The phrase for this title is “our time will come for sure.”
- « DoDoDo » : Jazz song reminiscent of a black and white film, with the relaxing voice of the artist who immerses us in his warm emotions, on a full moon evening. It is represented by the phrase “So let’s dance!”
- « 숨은 그림 찾기» : Romantic title combining the singer’s sensitive voice with an acoustic guitar, symbolized by the phrase “with you, there is no end”.
- « Be a fool» : A simple song on the piano that highlights the young man’s voice, referred to as “you can call me “idiot.”
He considers that he has delivered his most precious words in this new album, having sought to address more different themes than in the previous album. Subsequently, the music video for “In the dark” was broadcast, before the singer took the microphone and sang the song in turn. It is with great naturalness and joy that he delivers this title, and then takes the time to answer questions from journalists. JEONG SEWOON once again emphasizes the difference between the two albums in their concept, while respecting his own style. However, he assures that he still has many stories to tell, and therefore still songs to sing.

With these six tracks, the singer seeks to show us who he really is, having written, composed and produced all the songs. He considers himself to have matured and has chosen to tell stories that may be familiar in his songs. The lyrics thus seem honest and empathetic, while respecting the musical imprint of JEONG SEWOON.
