The prosecution showed CCTV footage from December 30 to 31, 2015, when the incident in question took place. Then a group of individuals, including members of SEUNGRI‘s chat rooms, on kakaotalk, Jung Joon Young and Choi Jonghun, arrived. About 10 minutes later, the former CEO of the “Burning Sun”, Yoo In Suk, arrived on the scene.
Shortly after the appearance of Yoo In Suk, 4 other individuals, suspected of being gang members, are visible in this video. Some time later, the 4 gang members are then spotted in an outdoor CCTV video with the victim. 6 to 7 minutes later, when the police arrive at the scene, the gang members are nowhere to be found. In addition, reports from various media on February 19 revealed that of the two victims who had been violently threatened by the SEUNGRI “gang” during this incident, one of them was allegedly a major employee. entertainment agency.
The prosecution then presented evidence of the Kakaotalk messages that SEUNGRI had sent to the chat room the next day. In this discussion thread the former head of YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk, as well as the chief executive of the other entertainment agency (of the alleged victim) were present.
On the defense side, the lawyer largely rejected the validity of the evidence presented by the prosecution. SEUNGRI also currently denies 8 of its 9 criminal charges and has partially admitted the charge of illegal financial transactions abroad.
It was also reported that among the members of the SEUNGRI chat room, Jung Joon Young was present at this 10th hearing as a witness.
