ONF
The American magazine Forbes focused on the first full-length ONF album.

Forbes, an American business magazine, published an interview with columnist Jeff Benjamin on its official website on March 26th (local time) under the headline “ONF Discuss Social Messages In Full-Length Album & ‘Trying To Show Something Different‘ In K -Pop.“
Forbes focused on the live ONF performance, saying: “When we commonly know that a performance on stage, live from K-pop, consists of precise and meticulous choreography, ONF has stand out by moving away from the existing framework.”
The group debuted in 2017 with “ON/OFF” containing transcendent energy, and continued their activities with “COMPLETE“, adding improvisation to existing stage performances, launching a new style each time the group went up on stage. At the start of the performance of “Sukhumvit Swimming” in 2020, ONF‘s diversity stood out on the K-pop scene, where the competition was increasingly fierce. In addition, the members broadened their careers and were able to impose the color of ONF, underlining the group’s growth process with its first album, showing their difference.
The title track “Beautiful beautiful” also carries a message of hope reminiscent of their early works, and in “Themometer” and “Secret Triangle” they are divided into “On” and “Off” units. “My name is” is a song that contains self-interviews of the members, who they are, ”he said, presenting ONF‘s first full album.
Through an interview with Forbes, the ONF members talked about a variety of music, such as themes on their full debut album, the process of working with Monotree, and the messages they wanted to convey to their fans.
Since the release of their first full album “ONF: My name” on the 24th of last month, the track “Beautiful beautiful” has broken its own record by dominating the national music charts and leading a musical program for the first time. In addition, the overall sales of the album in New York, United States, the “Head of Pop”, ranked second for the week, and topped the US ranking of best K-Pop iTunes songs. Finally, the British magazine “FAULT” and the main Hong Kong magazine “SCMP” underlined the impressive performances of the group, thus showing their strong global influence.
