Singer G-DRAGON has taken legal action against authors of malicious comments.

On February 24, G-DRAGON’s agency GALAXY CORPORATION stated:
“We are pursuing strong legal actions in collaboration with the law firm YULCHON regarding malicious posts that harm G-DRAGON’s honor, spread false information, contain malicious defamation, and violate personality rights. Based on evidence collected through fan reports and our own monitoring, we have filed massive complaints against over 100 authors of malicious posts for violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation).”
The agency added: “Authorities have identified multiple suspects through raids on online communities and SNS platforms. For some suspects who admitted to the facts, the investigation has been completed and they have been sent to the prosecution, awaiting results. Active investigation continues at the police level for those denying the accusations.”
GALAXY CORPORATION clarified: “We are currently at the stage of transferring cases to the prosecution, and it is difficult to disclose information identifying suspects due to the Personal Information Protection Act and judicial procedures. We are closely cooperating with relevant institutions for swift and strict handling.”
◆ Full Official Statement from GALAXY CORPORATION
“Hello, this is GALAXY CORPORATION.
We are pursuing strong legal actions in collaboration with the law firm YULCHON regarding malicious posts that harm the honor of our artist G-DRAGON (hereafter ‘the artist’), including spreading false information, malicious defamation, and violations of personality rights. Here is the current status of the situation.
Following our previous notice on rights protection (October 17), we have filed massive complaints against over 100 authors of malicious posts for violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation), based on evidence collected through fan reports and our monitoring.
Authorities have identified multiple suspects through raids on online communities and SNS platforms, including Nate Pann, Naver, DC Inside, TheQoo, and X (formerly Twitter), and these suspects have been transferred to competent police stations for investigation.
For some suspects who admitted to the facts, the investigation has been completed and they have been sent to the prosecution, awaiting decisions. Active investigation continues at the police level for suspects denying the accusations.
However, we are currently at the stage of transferring cases to the prosecution, and it is difficult to disclose information identifying suspects due to personal data protection and judicial procedures. We are closely cooperating with relevant institutions and continue to collect evidence of malicious posts on various SNS and online platforms. We plan to progressively strengthen civil and criminal measures to protect the artist’s rights.
We will provide regular updates, as much as possible, on meaningful developments. We ask for your understanding, as identifying suspects and conducting investigations takes time.
GALAXY CORPORATION continuously monitors all expressions regarding the artist, domestically and internationally, and is committed to ensuring the artist can always work in a healthy and stable environment.
We sincerely thank fans for their continued attention and cooperation. If you find malicious posts, please send a single PDF file containing all verifiable information (URL, posting date, author ID or nickname, disputed content, capture date, etc.) to the email address provided. This information will serve as important evidence in legal proceedings.
We will continue to do our best to protect our artist’s rights in 2026.
Thank you.”
