YOUNGHOON : THE BOYZ’s singer and actor celebrates his birthday

In August 8, we are celebrating THE BOYZ YOUNGHOON‘s birthday.

YOUNGHOON is known to be an actor, singer, model and dancer from THE BOYZ. He is a good swimmer, he loves playing games and also enjoys tasting food that his co-members are eating. Also, people often think he is a chic, cold guy but his character is really different from his looks. He has a bright energy, he smiles a lot and is easily shy. He also belongs to THE BOYZ’ Bermuda Triangle with JUYEON and HYUNJAE thanks to their good-looking face that attract people’s attention.

In 2020, YOUNGHOON started a career as an actor owning one of the main roles of the drama “Love Revolution” based on a famous webtoon. He plays a high school student who is cool, good-looking and popular, and has to help his best friend who fell in love at first sight with a girl from his high school. YOUNGHOON worked a lot for this drama and played his lines with his co-members when needed. He was also able to work on this solo schedule while having comebacks and activities with his co-members.

YOUNGHOON started his career when he has been casted while eating bread in a convenient store. Since that day, he is called Bread-Hoon and he is also a bread lover, so he likes this name. He can even differenciate several breads just by smelling them. After a few months of training, YOUNGHOON appeared as the male character in “Whatta Man” MV by I.O.I and he was complimented for his good looks.

YOUNGHOON, alongside his co-members, participated in a reality show entitled “Flower Snack” just before debuting in order to gain popularity and reveal each of the members. THE BOYZ debuted on December 6, 2017 with title-song “Boy”. After that, the group made many comebacks without rest and showed a bright, cute and cool side with synchronized choreographies. It was during title-song “No Air”‘s promotions that the group and the other members gained more confidence during their filming and on stage. The group changed its style to become more mature with more intense choreographies and it attracted people’s attention. This title-song was really popular and they gained many fans who worked hard to bring the group’s first win in a music show during the next comeback with “Bloom Bloom”. It was with title-songs with such a cute and bright energy that YOUNGHOON said he was the most confident in.

2020 was THE BOYZ‘s year. Indeed, the eleven members worked really hard in order to give their best and became more and more popular thanks to their amazing performances and great teamwork. A comeback with a full album and title-song “REVEAL” helped THE BOYZ showing a new side of the group and trying a mystical and sexy concept. YOUNGHOON had for the first time silver hair that suited him a lot and his hair became a hot topic among fans.

If we are talking about a new concept, it means that THE BOYZ‘ members are trying to reveal more sides of themselves. Their agency published in May 2020 a few clips based on their simplicity and honesty. Between March and June 2020, YOUNGHOON participated with his co-members to the reality show “Road to Kingdom” in which seven boy groups had to prepare performances in order to show the best stages and become the show’s winner. THE BOYZ created the best performances during most of the episodes thanks to a perfect teamwork and was also compared to a professional dance crew. On June 12, THE BOYZ released a new song “CHECKMATE” to perform during the show’s last episode. Once again, the members were able to prepare an stunning performance that shocked many people. They won the show with an impressive score and also won a spot for Mnet’s next reality show entitled “Kingdom”. During “Road to Kingdom”, YOUNGHOON was a little bit injured and sometimes had to stay back during hard choreographies and performances. However, he had an important role in the stories told by the group throughout the show’s performances as in “Quasi una fantasia”.

Then, THE BOYZ made a comeback with “The Stealer” which was as impressive as “Road to Kingdom” performances. It was a huge success since the group won many victories at music shows and also participated in the end of the year award shows. The groups prepared several performances but the most incredible one was for the 2020 MAMA. Indeed, the eleven members did a performance on the theme of the kings dressed as Greek gods and showed an perfect choreography with elements that reminded of “Road to Kingdom”. It was like an even better version of the show with the use of fire, props and many more acrobatics. The aim of this unbelievable performance was to introduce themselves as one of the teams for the upcoming show “Kingdom”.

We will be able to see YOUNGHOON starting tomorrow in a new comeback by THE BOYZ with title-song “THRILL-RIDE”. This song will help us cooling down during this summer as it is expected to see the members in a theme park surrounded by attractions which is a different concept from what the group did previously.
