SOOJIN, a member of the girl group (G) I-DLE who was involved in a controversy over violence at school, leaves the group.

“We have decided that SEO SOOJIN will leave the group as of today,” his agency Cube Entertainment said in an official position on August 14th.
“In the future, (G) I-DLE will continue to operate with a five member system, and we will continue to support and do our best to show the world of (G)I-DLE, its music and its more mature performance,” it said.

SOOJIN was embroiled in controversy when she was named as the perpetrator of school violence in February. At the time, Cube Entertainment lodged a complaint against Internet users who had published revelations in the online community, denying all allegations of violence at school.
However, actress Seo Shinae, a classmate, also spoke about violence at school. SOOJIN and her agency haven’t spoken for a while. The agency therefore decided to remove the member from the group after about six months.
