Changwon City announced on the 18th that the Changwon K-pop World Festival 2021, broadcast live online, ended with an enthusiastic response from online audiences.

It is a Hallyu cultural festival where people from all over the world who love K-pop participate in the competition for performance and vocal skills.
This year, due to the global trend regarding COVID-19, overseas K-pop groups were unable to make the final.
Ten teams, SAVVY (Belarus), Heyitskimmy (Canada), Bitchinas (France), DX-SEVEN (Laos), Red Cherry (Latvia), The Priest Hood (Nigeria), HipeVisioN (Russia), GROO7E (USA), Rodrigo Torres (Uruguay), who managed to advance to the final after beating the other groups from 74 countries, put on a unique performance drawing attention to their country.
Paying attention to the good influence of K-pop, the foreign artists also presented their everyday life transformed into K-pop under the title “HOW K-POP SAVED ME“.
The final was won by Laos, thanks to pre-votes, popularity votes in real time with expert evaluation.
MONSTA X, THE BOYZ, STRAY KIDS, OH MY GIRL, ATEEZ, AEPA, ONEUS and CRAVITY appeared as recorded videos for the organized festival.

The festival will air in over 120 countries on KBS 2TV at 10:40 p.m. on November 3rd and KBS World on November 6th.
Changwon Mayor Huh Sung Moo said, “Over the past decade, K-pop stars and young people around the world have been at the forefront of communicating with music and dance. , and promoting Korea and Changwon to the world,” adding, “Although this year is difficult, we hope to see you back in Changwon as soon as possible.”
