Q : THE BOYZ’s main dancer celebrates his birthday

On November 5, we are celebrating JI CHANGMIN‘s birthday, who is known as Q from THE BOYZ.

Q is a singer, choreographer and dancer member from THE BOYZ. His special talents are giraffe and pigeon impersonations and he is often compared to these animals because of his long neck. He enjoys watching horror movies and he even has one Chucky and one Annabelle puppet that scare the other members. He also has a cute dog he likes a lot and he often uploaded pictures of him with his dog on social networks. Q is also known for having reverse charms since he is cute on a daily basis and is fierce and can do powerful choreographies on stage. He is a talented dancer and is the member who helps the group improving by reviewing the moves for THE BOYZ‘s performances.

He debuted as a member of THE BOYZ with a first title-song “Boy”, and then the group made many comebacks over the years without rest. The members were able to show a cute, funny, cool, classy side of themselves. When the members released title-song “No Air”, they became more and more cool and expressive on stage with more facial expressions. This song was so popular that it brought a lot more new fans to the group. Their fans worked really hard in order to make THE BOYZ win a first trophy at a music show with title-song “Bloom Bloom”.

In November 2018, THE BOYZ‘s main dancer participated in a dance show entitled “Dance War” in which main dancers from boy-groups had to cover choreographies from famous k-pop groups. In each episode, there were new dance covers and several dancers were eliminated. Q was able to show his amazing dancing skills during the first, second and third round and you can see one of his fancams under.

2020 was clearly THE BOYZ‘s year. Indeed, the eleven members worked really hard to improve and give their best attracting people’s attention and showing their unique teamwork. They released a first album and made a comeback with “REVEAL” highlighted their sexy and powerful side on stage. They also did a special performance covering TVXQ’s most famous song entitled “Mirotic”. Thanks to Q‘s fancam you can find under, people could see his dancing skills in a different concept and also discover that singer Q could also be a good rapper.

Then, in May 2020, THE BOYZ‘s agency decided to show who the members really are through individual videos. They were able to express their throughts and feelings in a simple set. Thanks to the video under, you can watch Q answering questions about himself and speak about his hopes as a normal young guy.

Between March and June 2020, THE BOYZ participated in the show “Road to Kingdom” in which seven k-pop groups had to create performances to become the finale winner. THE BOYZ‘s members quickly became popular for their amazing stages which were always more and more impressive. The group was the best for almost every episode and was even compared to a real dance crew and not as only a k-pop group. On June 2020, thanks to their amazing teamwork and hard work THE BOYZ‘s members released a new song “CHECKMATE” for the show’s final episode and became the winners since they had the best scores.

During “Road to Kingdom”, Q gathered people’s attention thanks to his solo parts and his central position in many performances. He became a hot topic thanks to the group’s first performance “Sword of Victory” in which he grabbed a sword thrown in the air by jumping above his co-members.

Then, THE BOYZ decided to have a comeback following the popularity gained during “Road to Kingdom” and released a song with the same style of what was shown during the show. The title-song “The Stealer” highlighted Q‘s great dancing skills as well as his agility. Many people were impressed by his sharp moves and his agility at the beginning of the choreography. “The Stealer” was huge a success and the group had many more fans who were proud to see the eleven members performing at the end of the year shows and win many trophies.

THE BOYZ was back with a new title-song in 2021 entitled “THRILL RIDE”, which was bright and perfect for this summer. That was a huge surprise when the group came back in a different concept with title-song “MAVERICK”, released on November 1st. For the first time, the group made a comeback with an intense song, strong choreography and unique MV in which each member had to show his acting skills by playing a participant of a mortal game. Q was able to show his great energy on stage for these two 2021 comebacks, having many important parts in the choreographies. Above all, fans were impressed by Q‘s acting skills shown in “MAVERICK”‘s MV. His character seems to be in a group of three participants and trapping another one. However, his character ends up in tears and defenseless at the end of the MV, with a facial expression that broke the fans’ heart.
