WOOYOUNG : Let’s wish a happy birthday to ATEEZ’ sexy member

On November 26th, we are celebrating JUNG WOOYOUNG‘s birthday, who is better known as ATEEZ‘ WOOYOUNG.

WOOYOUNG is a singer, rapper, dancer and member of ATEEZ. His fans know that he has a high-pitched voice when he screams and he is really playful while being with his co-members. He has cute talents as the fact that he can touch his nose with his tongue, he has a good sense of smell, he loves learning choreos and doing sexy dances. He has been friend with YEOSANG for years because they were both BigHit Entertainment’s trainees before going to KQ Entertainment.

In October 2017, KQ Entertainment’s trainees participated in a survival show entitled “MIXNINE”. WOOYOUNG belonged to the four trainees that were chosen to be a part of the show. He was 57th during the show’s showcase, but was eliminated on the 7th episode.

Before being a member from ATEEZ, he participated in KQ’s project based the agency’s trainees. Under the name KQ Fellaz, the agency posted videos to promote them and show the end of their trainee days. Indeed, in 2018, they went to Los Angeles in order to have a great dance style at the “Millennium Dance Complex”. At this time, they gained popularity even before their debuts thanks to the video under that shows a unique dance style for a rookie boy group.

On October 24, 2018, the trainees became members of ATEEZ and released their first mini-album among a serie of comebacks around the theme of “TREASURE”. After title-songs “Pirate king” and “Say my name”, the group also promoted a side-track entitled “HALA HALA” which was a success. WOOYOUNG was quickly recognized as a really good dancer and his facial expressions while dancing “Pirate king” and “Say my name” gathered people’s attention as for the fancam under.

In 2019, ATEEZ sold out its American and European tour concerts, which is unique for a rookie boy group. WOOYOUNG, as for the other members of ATEEZ, had many comebacks in 2019 and they ended their “TREASURE” theme with title-song “Answer” in January 2020.

Comeback after comeback, WOOYOUNG gained in dancing, singing and rapping skills while working on his sexiness. The fans and his co-members also agree that he is sexy while performing but they often make fun of him. For example, YEOSANG jokingly asked WOOYOUNG to stop unbuttoning his shirt for TV shows.

In early 2020, the group was still close to the fans thanks to awards, videos, contents, fan concerts, reality shows and cover songs. In May 2020, ATEEZ became a cultural embassador for promoting Korean culture all over the world. On June 26, the group did a cover of “On” by BTS adding ATEEZ‘ style, and WOOYOUNG was able to perform JIMIN’s part who is his favorite idol. He was also able to cover one of BTS’ songs around his debut days as you can watch in the video under.

In July 2020, ATEEZ announced their long-awaited comeback since it was the first one of a new serie of comebacks with the theme “FEVER”. On July, 29, 2020, the group released a new mini-album and promoted “Inception” and “Thanxx”. In the last one, WOYOUNG’ sexy movements put him under the spotlights and gathered people’s attention. He also said that his hair cut and style during “Thanxx”‘s performances was his favorite one since his debuts.

In early 2021, the group appeared on Mnet’s show called “KINGDOM: Legendary War” in which six boy groups had to create unique performances for several months in order to be the winning team. ATEEZ being the youngest group, the members were pampered by the other teams. In addition, ATEEZ created impressive performances especially during the first round in which the group covered its own track “WONDERLAND” to create a pirate version. The group finally ended the show in third place after many performances that left a huge impression on the other participants.

After a wave of popularity created by show “KINGDOM: Legendary War”, ATEEZ returned with the promotion of a new album and title-song entitled “Deja Vu” which allowed to show new sides of the group winning more and more of fans. WOOYOUNG continues to impress with his presence on stage as well as his great dance style, as for each member of ATEEZ.
