STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT‘s girl group IVE makes their debut on Wednesday, December 1 with the single “ELEVEN”.
Consisting of members YUJIN, GAEUL, REI, WONYOUNG, LIZ and LEESEO, the group presents itself as the abbreviation of “I have“, meaning that they possess the necessary abilities to shine on stage. The young women begin with the title “Eleven” depicting the way they express their love.
The single is accompanied by a second song, “ Take it“, highlighting the energy of the group using Latin sounds, the lyrics being written from the point of view of a cat. Some faces are not unknown to the public since YUJIN and WONYOUNG were part of the popular survival group IZ*ONE, from the survival PRODUCE 48. Moreover, it is the first girl group from STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT to debut in five years, expectations are therefore high.
To personify the name of the group, the members present one by one the abilities they possess. LIZ introduces herself as the one “having” taste in the group, and highlights her unique facet. REI claims to “have” curiosity about life, and performs a capella rapping to show his abilities in this area. WONYOUNG represents victory, which is reminiscent of her former career in IZ*ONE, and confides that her talent and being an “ending fairy”, someone taking the final break in a song and shining through her beauty. Leader YUJIN continues by claiming to have you. GAEUL claims to “have” a goal in life and dances a few steps to highlight her sensuality and her energy, under the tender gaze of the other members. Finally, LEESEO has a spark, and chooses to show as a personal talent a series of winks.

Now focusing on their first single, the young women dance the key points of the choreography, where they point to the sky with what they call “the hand of paradise”, then form a seven afterwards, before “the seventh hand “. They are eager to be able to show the world their charisma and their musical imprint for these debuts, and for this, take their place on stage to present the title “ Eleven ”.
A teaser is first broadcast to highlight the members in colorful and bright environments. IVE performs its very first song, the chorus claiming “you make me feel eleven”. Some notes seem to transport us to Egypt, and the clip released afterwards shows the group in large-scale stagings.
The former members of IZ*ONE confide, once they took the stage with the group for a last conversation, to have received messages of encouragement from their former colleagues for their new debuts. Next, IVE says he wants to appear on RUNNING MAN, a popular show featuring team physical challenges. LEESEO, she wants to appear in a baking show, loving to cook. WONYOUNG looks back on the first listening of the title “ Eleven ”, admitting to having been immediately charmed by the sweet lyrics of the song. The goal of the artists is to become the best in their category, and to highlight the strong complicity uniting them.
Regarding their future activities abroad, they hope to be able to hold a world tour when the health situation allows it. In the meantime, they can’t wait to be able to interact with their fans of all origins. They consider solo activities as well, but their priority is to grow as a group and not individually, especially since they get along very well with each other and want to succeed together.
