HONG EUI JIN was part of the group SONAMOO which debuted in 2014 and was also part of UNI.T born through KBS 2TV’s “Idol Reboot Project The Unit” program in 2017. So why did you make your solo debut with a ballad type song, and not a dance song, unlike in the past when you were a lead dancer?

“I wanted to surprise everyone. If I had come out as a soloist, I would have thought that I would play a lot with a dance song, but “여덟 번째 봄” was such a good song that I became greedy for it and challenged myself. I was also surprised to sing a ballad. When I released the song via music spoilers, many people were surprised by my singing skills. I was proud and happy to see it in real time. I want to show you things that I haven’t shown before.”
