CLASS:y is said to be a unique group of “fourth generation idols” with excellent singing skills.
CLASS:y (Hyungseo, Chaewon, Hyeju, Riwon, Jimin, Boeun, and Seonyou) have been heating up the K-pop market since their official debut with “Shut down” on May 5. Although the group is 16 years old on average, they have surprised K-pop fans with their skills beyond the fact that this is their debut.
CLASS:y showed irreplaceable live performances and powerful performances in the first week of their debut. In particular, CLASS:y’s skills shine in various music programs. The group are even dubbed by music broadcast executives as “monster rookies” and “the best live among 4th generation idols”.
CLASS:y’s live performance can also be seen through a video with the removal of the MR (Music Recorded) music stream posted on YouTube. MR deletion video is content that showcases singers’ voices with minimal accompaniment, and is known as evidence to confirm live performance among K-pop fans. Comments are flooded with opinions from global K-pop fans praising CLASS:y’s live performances.
CLASS:y’s live trust has also been proven in “band live” content. On May 13, the group took the stage with their debut song “Shut down” on K-pop live content “It’s Live” from YouTube channel “It’s Live.” The girls performed unwavering songs and performances in line with the group’s live session performances.
CLASS:y’s “It’s Live” attracted a lot of attention right after its release, receiving responses such as “They wrote a new It’s Live story”. Most K-pop groups didn’t perform on “It’s Live” but only sang, but CLASS:y performed the dance and live perfectly.
Additionally, CLASS:y continues the group’s “4th generation idol live one top” reputation by posting workout videos showing performances while singing live on the official YouTube channel.
CLASS:y is the first group to come out of MBC’s “Teenage girls” global girls audition, which ended in late February, and was nominated for first place on SBS MTV’s music program “The Show” on the 10th, five days after its debut.
The group is also active in entertainment shows. It is currently appearing on MBC’s exclusive reality show “클라씨의 세계” (airing at 11:30 p.m. on May 10 and 17), and appeared on MBC’s “전지적 참견 시점” with actor Jo Yi Hyun, the CEO from his agency M25 on May 14.
