ITZY unveiled the concept film for their new album “CHECKMATE” and unveiled their new visual for the first time.

ITZY will be releasing their fifth mini album “CHECKMATE” at 1 p.m. KST on July 15. In response, JYP Entertainment released the first concept film “ITZY “CHECKMATE” CONCEPT FILM #1” on its official channel and SNS at 12:00 a.m. KST on June 6, raising the comeback fever.

In the video, ITZY grabbed attention by showing off its good looks against the backdrop of white space. It created a luxurious and special feel with black-and-white colored costumes, colorful accessories, and smoky makeup that showcased the members’ individuality. The group also showed strong charisma as they stared at the camera with unwavering eyes, signaling a new concept. In particular, following a promotional schedule in the form of a chess game score sheet, the members were seen moving chess pieces, sparking a lot of curiosity.

ITZY has prepared a massive comeback promotion for their new work, which will be released approximately 10 months after their first full album “CRAZY IN LOVE”, in September 2021. The group will feature abundant “tease” content which will in turn appeal to global fans, and on the day of its comeback, he will communicate with domestic and foreign MIDZY (fandom name) via Twitter Blue Room and Mnet comeback special.

The group will embark on their first world tour in August. Beginning with performances in Seoul on August 6 and 7, the tour will take place in eight cities in the United States, including Los Angeles on October 26 (local time), Phoenix on November 29, Dallas on November 1, Houston on November 3 , Atlanta on August 7, Chicago on August 7, and Boston on August 13. It will also announce more concert venues in the future and meet more fans around the world to share the joy of the band’s first world tour.
