GONGCHAN, a member of group B1A4, was cast as the main character in the BL (Boys love) romantic comedy “비의도적 연애담 (Litt: Unintentional love story)”.
On June 28, his agency WM Entertainment shared, “GONGCHAN has confirmed his appearance as the main character in the drama “비의도적 연애담 (Litt: Unintentional love story)” (written by Shin Ji-an (Shin Yoo)/directed by Jang Eui-soon/produced by Number 3 Pictures Co., Ltd.) slated for release in the second half of 2022.”
“비의도적 연애담 (Litt: Unintentional love story)” by original writer Phoebe is a cartoon released by Daewon CI Co., Ltd. and depicts a heartbreaking romance of trust about the two who became true love in a relationship that started with a lie.
GONGCHAN stars as “Jiwon Young,” an employee in the general affairs department of a large corporation who must win the heart of Yoon Tae Joon (Cha Seo Won), the president’s favorite artist, for reinstatement. He is a “핵인싸 (Cool and Popular)” character who has a bright nature and likes to help someone.
In particular, GONGCHAN said, “Having ‘dates’ is boring, but I don’t like being alone!” Since then, he has appeared in web dramas “Mokkoji kitchen”, “Dear my name” and “Travel throught romance 1.5” to build his own character and build a solid filmography. Expectations are already high for his new acting transformation.
GONGCHAN met fans face to face after about three years as an MC at CNU member’s fan meeting “2022 B1A4 ♥ BANA – HAPPY CNU DAY” on June 11, and appears in “Park So-hyun’s Love Game by SBS PowerFM. “비의도적 연애담 (Litt: Unintentional love story)” is scheduled to air in the second half of 2022.
