HIMCHAN
On April 30, the Third Division of the Supreme Court upheld the decision of the lower court, which sentenced HIMCHAN to 10 months in prison on appeal for forced harassment.

Earlier in July 2018, HIMCHAN stood trial for forcibly assaulting a woman who went with him to a boarding house in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.
At the time, HIMCHAN denied the charges, but the first trial sentenced him to 10 months in prison, saying, “According to the evidence reviewed, the victim statements are sufficiently credible and support the indictment.“
Later, in the second trial, HIMCHAN confessed to the crime, and the court sentenced HIMCHAN to 10 months in prison, as in the first trial, and arrested HIMCHAN in court, saying that he was afraid that he would destroy evidence and tries to escape.
HIMCHAN is on trial for touching the bodies of two women on the stairs outside a bar in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, in April last year. At the first trial for the second alleged forced harassment held at Seoul Western District Court’s Criminal Division 6 on April 3, he admitted to all charges and said he was trying to reach a settlement with the victim.
However, HIMCHAN’s third sex crime suspicion came to light during the trial. This is a suspicion of forced harassment in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul around May last year. HIMCHAN is said to have requested the merger of the second and third charges through a legal representative.
HIMCHAN’s second trial for sexual harassment is scheduled for May 17.
