After more than a year to wait for it, here finally comes the return of BTOB‘s newsletter, gather the numerous promotionnal activities of the groupe since the release of their new album.
Tuesday, May 2nd
The officiel MV for “Wind and Wish” has been released at 6pm KST.
The groupe went to the radio show BTOB KISS THE RADIO from the KBS STUDIOS. The MC’s of this show is the group’s rapper LEE MINHYUK, since November 1st last year.
The very awaited video of BTOB participating to the show KILLING VOICE, from the DINGO STUDIOS, has set the internet on fire since the singers sung their fresh new song but also some old ones, such as “2nd confession“, “Only one for me” or “Beautiful pain“. They also sung some b-side songes such as “Higher” or even “Blue moon“, in its cinema version that they first introduced in the survival show KINGDOM.
The group also participated to the radio show LEE EUNJI’S GAYO.
During this last show but also during BTOB KISS THE RADIO, the rapper SHIN PENIEL didn’t show up. Indeed, CUBE ENTERTAINMENT wrote a post about it, explaining that the singer went to the hospital due to some constant backpain..
Wednesday, May 3rd
CUBE ENTERTAINMENT‘s Youtube channel released the very awaited video of the fanchant for the new title or the group. As always, the members are almost all serious, especially when they introduce themselves as… Melody ! (name of the fandom).
The members also posted a few mini-videos on the SNS to follow the trendy challenges. They then danced with several popular people but also with somebody who seems to be… one of the makeup artist of the group ! The videos can be watched HERE.
Several members also posted videos, on Tiktok, with the lyrics of the song so the fans can make some “duos” with the members. YOOK SUNGJAE & IM HYUNSIK for exemple, participated.
The pop-up store still being opened, the 6 boys went there to take pictures… With themselves ! The pictures are available on the official Instagram of the group.
COSMOPOLITAN KOREA published a video of BTOB‘sregarding their comeback.
Finally, it’s with a big surprise that the fans have been able to see the leader of the group SEO EUNKWANG promoting the new album “WIND AND WISH” while… showing the weather ! A first for the singer who warmly thanked the presenter and the team for the suipport they’ve shown him during this new step of his career.
Thursday, May 4th
The very awaited Beatcom (episode 179) had been revealed on Youtube, showing the jacket shooting for the album “WIND AND WISH“.
BTOB has been selected by Spotify as the cover for the category “Korea song rising“. A new step for the group !
The vocalists SEO EUNKWANG & IM HYUNSIK participated to JO HYUNA’S THURSDAY NIGHT SHOW where the leader SEO EUNKWANG confessed that, recently, he was thinking a lot of the future of the group since the members now have their private life and he was wondering about the future of BTOB. IM HYUNSIK then said that it was a topic he wanted to talk about since he thinks the group needs some more kind of control. The video is available HERE.
A video of IDOL HUMAN THEATER has been released showing, also, the members practising for the release of “Wind and Wish” but also talking.
MNET released a funny comeback interview of the group.
Last but not least, the group made its first comeback stage. They shown their new song for the first time on the stage of M COUNTDOWN, with the full choreography for the song written by IM HYUNSIK.
Friday, May 5th
LEE CHANGSUB his loyal friend, GURI, participated to the show I LIVE ALONE where they went to do some camping.
The last episode (n°36) of the third season of GET REAL, from the DIVE STUDIOS, that SHIN PENIEL co-presented since July 2020, has been uploaded. In Enflish, the rapper oftenly reveals some facts of his personnal life.
Meanwhile, CUBE ENTERTAINMENT wrote an apology post, explaining that SHIN PENIEL would not be able to attend the fanmeeting of May 5th & 7th, due to his backpain.
2 days after its release, the song “Wind and wish” cumulated 15M views.
Finally, the group went on the stage of MUSIC BANK to sing their new song.
Saturday, May 6th
The group sung “Wind and wish” on the stage of SHOW ! MUSIC CORE.
BTOB also sung “Wind and wish” & “Blooming day” at the show K-909. Their costumes, green, remind of the theme of their new album and the four leaves clover that is seen on the MV.
Sunday, May 7th
The 2nd day of the fanmeeting happened, still missing SHIN PENIEL.
The members contonued posting videos on their SNS for the #wind_and_wish_challenge, for example with HYUNGWON from MONSTA X or JAEHYUN from the sub-unit DOJAEJUNG of the group NCT.
SEO EUNKWANG & LEE MINHYUK appeared on a video posted on SEVENTEEN’S TIKTOK for the challenge of the new song “Super“. YOOK SUNGJAE & SHIN PENIEL participated to the #PerfumeChallenge with JAEHYUN, from the sub-unit DOJAEJUNG.
The group introduced “Wind and wish” for the first time at INKIGAYO.
SEO EUNKWANG, LEE MINHYUK & YOOK SUNGJAE have been announced to participate to the next radio show KIM SHINYOUNG’S HOPE SONG, to be aired on May 9th at noon and SHIN PENIEL & LEE MINHYUK have been announced to be guests at PARK SOHYUN’S LOVE GAME to be aired on May 13th.
