SEVENTEEN’s VERNON has honestly shared his thoughts on his debut.
On KBS Cool FM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show” which aired on May 12, VERNON appeared as a guest and said, “I had no idea SEVENTEEN would be okay.”
Regarding VERNON, Park Myung Soo said, “He is a friend like my son,” adding, “He especially loves me and is the first idol in Korea to give me a gift. exercise,” he said. VERNON appeared on Park Myung-soo’s personal YouTube “할명수” in November last year and introduced Park Myung-soo to wireless headphones.
VERNON said about why Park Myung Soo is good, “The COVID-19 period was a breakthrough opportunity. I was bored because I was at home all day, but I know a lot of people watched Infinite Challenge clips like me at the time,” adding, “I fell in love while searching for videos during quarantine.”
VERNON went on to say that he remembered Park Myung Soo’s famous lines from “Infinite Challenge” and loved them enough to put them into the song’s lyrics, adding, “As I matched the rhyme, I just thought about it and wanted to put them in.”
Additionally, SEVENTEEN, which includes VERNON, has sold 4 million copies of its 10th mini album “FML” released just last month on its first day of release. In response, he said, “We were also very surprised. Some members couldn’t laugh and cried,” he said.
VERNON confessed, “We came from the bottom, and honestly, I thought it wouldn’t work. I wondered who would like us and why. So I just worked hard.“
He said, “After all SEVENTEEN members renewed their contracts, the treatment changed in the company,” adding, “When I debuted, I didn’t know anything, so I followed what ‘I was told, but now the company is listening to us.” He said, “I also ate a lot better.“
