Group ZEROBASEONE has completed its first feature film, raising expectations for its debut this year.
ZEROBASEONE (Kim Gyu Vin, Kim Ji Woong, Kim Tae Rae, Ricky, Park Gun Wook, Seok Matthew, Sung Han Bin, Zhang Hao and Han Yu Jin) performed for the first time at World’s Festival No. K-Culture “KCON JAPAN 2023” held at Makuhari Messe, Japan on May 14th.
ZEROBASEONE opened with Mnet’s “Boyz Planet” cue song “Here I am.” The nine members, who appeared in costumes reminiscent of their iconic uniforms, delivered refreshing and energetic performances and communicated deeply with fans who filled the room on a 360-degree open stage. The 15,000 spectators stood up in unison, creating a rare scene in which they sang all the songs in Korean with enthusiastic shouts.
ZEROBASEONE then performed the song “Say my name” from “Boy’s Planet” with the reason for the song’s selection, “We hope that the three letters of our nine names can still be called upon by fans around the world.” The nine members conveyed the feelings of a boy falling in love as soon as his name was spoken.
As this is the first time you meet “ZE_ROSE” (official fan club name), ZEROBASEONE impressed fans with its special love. The nine members gave an unforgettable moment by copying the poses of the audience in real time at the CCCV corner, and drove around the hall in a moving car, presenting balloons and autographed T-shirts to local fans.
In particular, ZEROBASEONE doubled down on their impression of presenting roses to fans based on the fact that the performance date is “Rose Day” and the fan club name is Ze_rose.

At the end of the performance, the spoiler film “Youth in the shade” from the debut album was released as a surprise. In the posted video, a silhouette of ZHANG HAO appears against a bright light background, followed by SUNG HANBIN who slowly receives light. With the words “YOUTH“, “IN THE“, and “SHADE” appearing at the same time, the video ends with the two members facing each other with a small candle in the middle.
After the video was released, spoiler-related keywords became a real-time trend on Twitter, amplifying the curiosity of fans around the world. Expectations for the debut album and the concept of ZEROBASEONE are also growing.
Despite its unofficial debut, ZEROBASEONE enjoys exceptionally explosive popularity as a rookie at “KCON Japan 2023“, making an official appearance.
