KARD, the “representative mixed group of K-pop,” has released a teaser for the music video for its new song “Icky” with a unique concept.
KARD (BM, J.Seph, Jeon Somin, and Jeon Jiwoo) released a music video teaser for its sixth mini album and title track “Icky” on its official YouTube channel on May 22. The video shows BM, J.SEPH, and JEON SOMIN wandering to escape from a maze-like space. In dire straits at a dead end, they are sucked away somewhere, and JEON JIWOO waits for the members in a space filled with green liquid.
In particular, the teaser is impressive that it expresses a spooky atmosphere by adding a subtle distortion to the everyday space. By using the bright color contrasting with the dark atmosphere, the dreamy mood has been further doubled. Additionally, the addictive chorus of “Icky” with the lyrics “I’m getting more and more possessed / As the end draws near / I know what I mean” was heard, raising questions.
KARD’s new song “Icky” features fresh beats and densely captures KARD’s charm in a groovy sound. Member BM participated in the writing and composition, and J.SEPH contributed the lyrics.
