Group TRENDZ has revealed its feelings about it as it gains extraordinary global influence alongside its meteoric growth.
Group TRENDZ (Havit, Leon, Yoonwoo, Hankook, Ra.l, Eunil and Yechan) released its second single “BLUE SET CHAPTER. NEW DAYZ” in March. From reaching career heights to securing a strong global fandom, it has now stood out as a leader in K-pop beyond Korea.
In particular, the members’ aspirations and goals are also different, as overseas performance requests for the group are pouring in, drawing more attention to their activities.
Q. Thanks to “NEW DAYZ,” the group reached career heights and received enthusiastic love. Do you realize how popular you are overseas?
It’s so good, but I don’t think there’s time to feel real and love it yet. We want to grow more with a humble attitude and become a team with a lot to learn. Recently, overseas schedules such as Japan and Indonesia have also been created, and we always feel grateful in the preparation process.
Q. We heard that there has been a flood of love calls for shows around the world recently. How do you feel about that?
We are so grateful and we can’t believe it. We are always thinking about doing better and we want to take every opportunity that arises and show you how we are progressing. We want to pay you back all that interest.
Q. Is there a foreign scene you would like to do and a qualifier you would like to get?
If there are fans somewhere, we really want to go there. And our dream is to see them at Super Bowl halftime, the scene of our dreams. In addition, we want a qualifier that shows a cool team that can assimilate all the trends, such as “rookie idols emerging this year”, “all-around idols”, and “performance idols”.
Q. Which senior do you respect among the groups that have elevated the status of K-POP.
We respect RM from BTS a lot. As an idol, we really want to meet and talk about a lot of things. We also want to learn a lot from SEVENTEEN in terms of music and performance. We want to be a good band like them for a long time.
Q. What is your goal in the future.
We showed a new side of us in “NEW DAYZ”. We appreciate your interest in TRENDZ. The goal is to become an irreplaceable group by building our own musicality and color as well as various concepts in the future.
