MC MONG made it clear that he is not related to the dispute between EXO members CHEN, BAEKHYUN and XIUMIN and SM Entertainment.

On June 2, MC MONG‘s legal representative, Law Firm Gow Law Office (Lawyer Ko Yoon Ki), made an official statement and said, “MC MONG makes it clear that he has not engaged in any artificial to cause a dispute between EXO members Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin (hereinafter referred to as CBX) and SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM).”

Moreover, MC MONG clarified that he is not an internal director of Big Planet Made Entertainment, explaining that he only met BAEKHYUN through his personal friendship and comforted his junior who was struggling with problems.

“SM who is a third party, so please refrain from making unclear comments that MC MONG is the third party to avoid further damage and misunderstanding,” he added. “We will take prompt legal action through legal representatives regarding the dissemination of false information.”

As a reminder on June 1, CBX notified SM of the termination of their exclusive contract through their legal representatives and announced that they were preparing for legal action. The reasons for this were opaque regulations and forced long-term contracts.

In response, SM said, “External forces have been identified to approach our artists, provide false legal information and assessments, and make unconventional suggestions that it’s okay to sign contracts with them.“
